THE FIRST ROOMS OF THE EUSEBIO LEAL SPENGLER HOUSE ARE INAUGURATED

On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the birth of Fidel Castro, the Office of the Historian of Havana inaugurated the first three rooms of the Eusebio Leal Spengler House, in Amargura 65, between San Ignacio and Mercaderes, in Old Havana, where it had its last office .
With the presence of national authorities of the PCC and the Government, as well as the leaders of the Cuban capital and the directors of the Office of the Historian of Havana, in the lobby where Eusebio Leal walked every day to his modest office, It was very emotional to listen to Fidel's biographer, Katiusca Blanco, interviewed by Magda Resick, talk about her relationship with the Historical Leader of the Cuban revolution and about the first time that he spoke to her about Leal, precisely, in the first meeting they held. .
Later, we visited the Hall of Honors, where Michael González recalled that visitors were waiting there to be received by Leal. In the center, surrounded by a selection of the dozens of distinctions and diplomas that many countries have awarded him, is the Medal of Hero of Labor of the Republic of Cuba.
Ariel Gil introduces us to the office, full of memories and symbols: a Martí, a small photograph of Fidel, the olive green cap that he gave him, his favorite armchair, the gray shirt he always wore, the program of construction projects where , with his team, he captured the next dreams and the last letter signed, just four days before his death.
At the entrance level to the building, there are two new rooms: the ¨Para not forget¨ room, with the temporary exhibition ¨La llama del carisma¨, presented by Argel Calcines, with images that show the endearing and respectful friendship that united Fidel and Loyal and finally.
