Baracoa, the first city of Cuba, dazzles us by revealing so much ignored, by that presence, tangible or intangible, of the Admiral and the Tainos as protagonists of the meeting of two cultures, today with a different vision about the supposed extinction of our aborigines.

The days of Columbus in Baracoa and the materiality of the Santa Cruz de la Parra constitute the beginning of the chronicle of five centuries - in which Cuban nationality has been forged - that go through a fleeting period of gold, years of hardship and abandonment, and the present of renewal starring a happy, hard-working and proud people.

Baracoana culture has been expressed by its artists, by the eclectic architecture, the typical dishes, the old sounds still played and danced, the legends of picturesque characters and living traditions ..., surrounded by a splendid virgin nature, owner and mistress, limpid in its waters, and, in its hills, unique in flora and fauna.

But Baracoa is that, and much more.

You have to visit her, surrender first to her charm, and then study her, discover her intimate secrets, her teachings. It is a commitment to the future of the entire country, to love it and take care of it.
